“The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are loved; loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.”
I know that wedding photographers say it all of time! We say, “we just love LOVE”. It’s true. Who doesn’t love LOVE?! But for me, that love goes a step further than just the bride and groom. It encompasses the entirety of the wedding day. The guests, the family, AND the couple. It’s life changing to see a group of people from all over the country and sometimes the world, come together to witness two people committing their entire lives to each other. How amazing is that??!!! I don’t know about you, but to me that’s a pretty big deal. So much so, that each time I see a couple get married, it reaffirms for me why I got married and helps me to appreciate my husband just a little bit more. What always chokes me up at weddings is the separation of the couple from their parents. It’s such a beautiful thing and celebrated in the most joyful ways. For Emily and Tray’s wedding, the father/daugther and mother/son dances had me in tears. I could see the love between each of them. In fact, I could see the love all day, with each family member, with each friend, it was simply amazing. I could see the love Emily and Tray gave to every detail of their wedding day. So perfectly and carefully chosen to make their day quintessentially theirs. The weather was questionable prior to the ceremony but it ended up being beautiful. The sun even made a quick appearance later in the day. The day really could not have been more perfect. It truly was the best day ever!
