Baby Olive’s arrival has been highly anticipated for many months now. Most families feel this way when they are welcoming a new baby, especially their first baby. Beth and Mark were anxious and nervous for Olive’s arrival because they had been waiting on her for almost 10 years. They had the unfortunate experience that many of us have had to endure but don’t speak about, multiple pregnancy losses. Having wanted to become parents so badly, Olive’s arrival was even that much more special! They were gracious enough to share their story about their struggle to become parents and have been so grateful for this little angel to finally be welcomed into their family.
While waiting on Miss Olive, Beth and Mark put a ton of thought, effort, and love into her nursery. Everything is either hand made or hand painted! (And yes, I mean everything)
This sign was hand painted by Beth and the mobile was made out of an embroidery hoop, fabric and ribbon. Gorgeous! The bed skirt and quilt were made by Beth’s mother and “Grammie”.
Beth printed these three signs to hang above Olive’s dresser. Apparently Beth is pretty handy with Photoshop!
All of the lettering for Olive’s name and the frames were hand painted. In each frame is a different story board from Disney’s Dumbo. Too cute!
Opposite the crib is a hand made shelf made by Mark. On it are perfectly placed trinkets including a minature Dumbo!
Here are some images of Beth, Mark and Olive in her new nursery.
There’s nothing more beautiful than a new family just being themselves.
Such a sweet family!
This is one of my favorite moments!
And this!
So beautiful!
Welcome home, sweet girl!
