When Katrina and AJ asked me to travel to Asheville, NC for their destination wedding, I was BEYOND excited. I wasn’t only excited to travel to this beautiful part of the Carolinas, I was excited to spend so much time with these wonderful people.  Throughout this entire journey of wedding planning, conversations about life and love, I have really grown to absolutely love these two. They are two of the most wonderful people I have ever met and I couldn’t think of any other place I would rather be than documenting the most special day in their lives. It was beyond an amazing experience exploring the beautiful town of Asheville and celebrating with Katrina and AJ’s families and friends.  We really had SO. MUCH. FUN!

 

Katrina got ready in a super cool hotel with that Asheville hipster vibe.  I LOVED it.

We had the first look at the North Carolina Arboretum. It is absolutely gorgeous!!!

This was about the time that the videographer asked Katrina and AJ to have their own little dance party.  Super cute!

The Basilica where Katrina and AJ got married was moody inside but absolutely beautiful to photograph.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Of course we stopped for some traditional portraits of the bridal party in the Basilica.

The reception space was a fun spot right downtown!

While the guests were enjoying cocktail hour, we ran back over to the Windsor for some lobby and downtown shots.

Now it was time to party!  It was definitely a party like none other!!!

My favorite time of the night!  When the dessert bar OFFICIALLY OPENS!!!

So, after speeches, Katrina decided to do a little impromptu trip outside for some downtown shots!!!  I’m so glad we did!

We had a fun photo bomber!  The guys were such good sports about it.  It was too funny!

After some dancing, it was time for La Hora Loca!  These dancers were amazing!!!!  The party was just unbelievable!!!
