What better day to blog a rainy day engagement session than on a rainy day! The only difference is that it’s super warm here in Charleston today. It was NOT warm for David and May’s Brooklyn engagement session. But you know what? They rocked it anyway! I actually really love rainy day sessions and weddings. It makes for beautiful portraits and a lot of fun. May and David were so great during the whole session, braving the cold and rain for their sunrise session.
When May and David asked if I would travel to NYC for their engagement session, I seriously jumped at the chance. I hadn’t been to NYC since I was a teenager and I had been dying to get back for a long time. This time, I brought the whole fam and made an amazing trip out of it. We kicked things off with May and David’s session and actually had the best time considering how cold the weather was. It was so nice having the Brooklyn Bridge virtually to ourselves and walking around without the thick crowds of tourists. We could literally shoot anywhere we wanted! And we got some gorgeous portraits despite the drizzle. May and David, I had the best time with you and can’t wait for your wedding day! Guaranteed to be warmer!!!
